Busy week.

I haven't updated this blog in a while because I've been busy at work and my laptop's HDD decided it doesn't want to work with Windows Vista so I had to find a nice Linux OS (Ubuntu) to get by until I get the new HDD next week.

Back to topic.

This week I bought 2 new games, Hot Wheels Take That and Pure.

Hot Wheels is basically a series of mini games that you have to beat to unlock new ones to move forward. Great fun and a bit challenging. It's one of those games that I'll play when I want a break from all the serious gaming or when I have mates around. I recommend it, specially if you have children at home.

Now, Pure. What a game! The graphics are just unbelievable, the sense of speed and the available trickery are just off the top drawer and the difficulty is just the right one, hard if you make a mistake, fair you are good. Comparing to the other two off-roading games that I have (Sega Rally and Collin McRae Dirt), this one is really in between them in terms of difficulty and gaming performance.

If you have a Xbox 360 or, God forbid, a PS3, get this game! Any gamer will be able to love something about this game, either the races or the freestyle events.

I already pre-ordered Midnight Club-Los Angeles and I should get either next Saturday (11/10) or the following Monday.
Once I have a few hours of playing about with it, I'll post my thought on that game. All previews on specialist site so far are great so this could be THE driving game of the year. Let's hope so.
